And while we're at it, let's conduct a pencil sharpeners vs. leprechauns poll too.

Come on! why not really go out to the meadow - macadamia nuts or Poland, kidney transplantation or roundabouts, baseball or the inverse square law..

(beaten by tipcat...bah!)

Thats' kinda why I thought It'd be interesting. Sorry. By the way- 4-piece guitar based rock bands prominent in the 80's-90's, both considered "important" in their respective "genres". One American, one English. Thought it would stimulate thought. Not exactly Air Jordans vs. Menstruation. Jeez.

I'm not sure why these two bands were pitted against each other, but I'll take Echo and the Bunnymen in this one, no contest. I always thought Mudhoney were pretty bland.

This is like asking "Rectal Thermometers Vs. Children's Halloween Costumes." I'd have to say Mudhoney, Piece Of Cake was great.

Postby Mark Arm out of Mudhoney on Tue Jan 30, 2007 1:44 pm

Whilst Echo and the Bunnymen were an undeniable influence on my (for it is I, Mark Arm out of Mudhoney) song-writing during my formative years, it was not long before it became clear to Mark Arm's bandmates (the members out of Mudhoney, and Mark Arm being me; Mark Arm out of Mudhoney), and indeed the entirety of mankind that the body of Mark Arm out of Mudhoney held the spirit of a song-craftsman light-years ahead of the frankly pedestrian Ian McCulloch out of Echo and the Bunnymen.

Of course when Ian McCullock out of Echo and the Bunnymen and Mark Arm out of Mudhoney take to the putting-green, our conversation rarely strays from appreciation of each other's stroke; rarely do we discuss our artistry for our gifts are unique and precious and ne'er to be made tawdry by vulgar boastfulness such as people other than Mark Arm out of Mudhoney might...do.

the Bunnymen is alright but Mudhoney is Mudhoney. One of the best bands of the 90s. Salut Mark Arm, Steve Turner, Dan Peters, Guy Maddison and Matt Lukin!
