I feel like I could predict every major incident that happened in last night's episode. That made me feel disappointed, for some reason.

I called the two (I felt) major incidents. From early on in the season it felt like someone would *SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS*

that someone would off themself before the end of the season, the foreshadowing was pretty strong; at first it seemed like it would be Roger, but then he had his acid trip and somewhat got his mojo back, then it seemed like Pete after Lane kicked the shit out of him (which was awesome) and his life was spiraling out of control, but in the past 2 episodes it became more obvious it would be Layne. Which is sad because I liked him. edit- also great irony how the Jaguar didn't work on his first attempt. The other one I called was Sally getting her period at the museum, though for some reason I thought she had gotten it in an earlier episode, until I remembered that no, she masturbated, not menstruated. The only thing that seemed like it would happen but didn't is I assumed that Joan's husband would get killed off in Vietnam, but maybe that's too obvious a plotline.

Overall I think this has been one of the best seasons.

SPOILERS:

The little tidbit with Lane breaking his glasses before trying to kill himself in the Jag was MASTERFUL. I could relate to that on a cellular level. Not the suicidal impulses, but the "no turning back now" frame of mind. He broke his fucking glasses! Holy shit.

This is a great season. I'm actively, actually hoping Don doesn't fuck it all up. Like a goddamned soap opera.

Trying to fix the Jag with the broken glasses. That was a lot with a little.

HOLY SHIT

I didn't realize that was Linda Cardellini playing the neighbor until John Hamm mentioned it offhandedly on the Daily Show rerun I was just watching. I am very surprised I did not realize this yet due to the pathetic fantasy world torch I still hold for Lindsay Weir.

I had almost the exact same reaction when I saw that last night.

I was glad Don had something this week that didn't involve cheating on his wife and looking fabulous.

The moment with Bobby at the movies and then Don's description of it to Megan was substantive.

Edit: Am I the only one who wants to see more of Sally again?

Yes, has she even been in this new season yet? She's a good character.

Roger hasn't been in the current season enough for my liking, only in the background.

Get rid of the boring as fuck Peggy and the no marks from her new agency and put either of the above in.

I was quite happy to see her as well. She's beautiful, even with that horrible hair.

I still want Pete to be torn apart by a pack of wild baboons.

He has a very punchable face.

I agree with J2H -- make it slow. But it should be "stoned slacker boa constrictor eating him from the feet up" slow.

Oh yeah, I almost walked right into Pete from Mad Men in the suburbs just outside of NYC this past weekend. My wife and I were in town for a wedding, hanging out with friends who were checking into a hotel. I turned around and narrowly avoided running into some guy that looked very familiar. As I did a double-take, we caught eyes and I realized it was that dude, and he had a sort of "yeah I'm that guy" look, and I was slightly embarrassed so I just blatantly looked away and kept walking.

He probably thought I assumed he was a dick like his character on TV, but I just don't want to bother famous people.

Besides being cooler than Pete, Stan was a cuter teen star.
