A ton of cheese and a big serving of bullshit.

Ov is one of those records I can appreciate for the "concept" but I can't bring myself to "enjoy". It's unbearable to me. Still not crap IMO.
Surprisingly enough, I find some of the Ocrilim stuff really enjoyable on a less "intellectual" level (I recently relistened to Sacreth and Annothrith Hymns and I liked them a lot)
That's probably among all the Barr stuff the one I prefer.

Saw Barr and Blair on the OV tour in Chapel Hill in February 2006. Still a top 10 show for me. They just got up there and executed it, maybe cutting it down to 30-35 minutes, but otherwise it was the record, only better. Never seen anything like it.

The OV set was so great. It’s unfortunate he had to stop playing it mid tour. Apparently the the OV record was recorded in 3 or 4 chunks that were spliced together.

I saw Mick play in L.A. a couple months ago on a bill with Bill Orcutt. Before his set, Mick was at the bar talking to a couple people, with his guitar around his neck. It made me want to believe that he just walks around that way all the time.

One of the most skilled players I know of on the planet. NC
