That's the quote they're running with, huh. "Mass extinction." They really like the shrill sermonizing of Chris Hedges. I suppose the "anarcho-liberal" tag fits the bill here. Look fwd to the album of course. And they're aligned with good groups like the Canada-Haiti Action Network and No One is Illegal. That song synthesizes their 3-part thrash, SoCal punk, and prog influences in under 2 minutes. And I'm not sure I like it. I hate those epitaph vocal harmonies.

The harmonies at the end that remind me of Bad Religion. That's what I'm talking about. I have no opinion about releasing it with Epitaph. Mouths to feed, etc.

You know Fat Wreck Chords has always been distributed by Epitaph, right?

I appreciate what others get out of this band, their politics and dedication, etc, but it still sounds like bubblegum NOFX/No Use For A Name/Lagwagon punk to me. Meh.

Enjoyed the song and can't wait for it to be released FINALLY. I don't give a shit who puts the album out as long as they press LPs.

This is great news. Just made my afternoon.

I sorta had my head up my ass in the fall didn't pick up the new one until recently. Man I love this band. Is it just me or has Todd's bass sound gotten significantly heavier?

Balls. I was following andrew's lead, and went to order Failed States on vinyl, and they're all sold out. I hope they repress it soon. I hadn't even picked up Supporting Caste yet. Was just gonna get em both. Boo!

Great thing is now they can play circles around most people who ignorantly dismiss them b/c of their politics. And they are such unpretentious, good-natured prairie hosers. There's no posturing in what they do. It's just straight from the gut. The weak posturing is in comments like countwatula's there.

They grew up on solid Canadian thrash: Razor, Sacrifice, Voivod.

Todd has come so far since the I-Spy days (I love I-Spy as well, just sayin'). His old band Swallowing Shit is some fucking powerful music for sure as well.

I'm stoked people are looking for these albums enough for them to be sold out, but it bums me out when true dudes like Kerble doesn't own 'em!

I'll keep my eyes peeled around here. I think I saw a copy of Failed States at this record store a couple of weeks ago. If it's still there I'll just cop it for you.

thanks, dude! but I'll wait it out. It's probably at a store or two here anyway, but I was going to splurge on the LP/zipperhead t-shirt package, Supporting Caste and the How to Clean Everything hoodie. I have a couple of pairs of shoes to return onlines, so I'm going to treat myself after I take care of that chore.

yeah, I've never been a fan of Todd's voice (he's the singer in the song above), and much prefer Chris' vocals by a factor of twenty. Fortunately he sings 80% of the stuff. Definitely less shouty and crabby. Don't know if that would be enough to get someone to like it, but whatever.

This is *so* not a zom-zom band, and fair enough.

Chris has a great voice. I like Todd's, too. The combination of pop-punk and thrash they've gradually developed over the past 12 or 13 years came about completely organically and is very unique to my ears. I don't listen to any SoCal pop-punk at all though. None. Hate everything about the genre.

I think Kerble'll probably like Supporting Caste more than the new one, which is more Todd driven.

yeah, pretty much. I like the Guns 'N' Wankers e.p. and this band. that's basically it.

Just wrote Kings road merch, and hopefully will know when the LPs will be restocked. Either way, I'm excited to hear both.

Those bends there

Prairie vernacular. Gotta love it...

Not a huge fan. But they do have their moments on those thrashy albums.
