Thanks Vish.
You're a very patient man - when people talk that slow and pause that much I get really irritable, but you didn't get phased at all.

Vish is one of maybe three interviewers that I truly love the work of.

You fucking rule Vish, and thank you for your work, man.

Shit seriously rules.

I want to know who your hockey club is too, Vish! ;)

I am keen as a bean to listen to this but I am getting terrible connection problems with this file. After about 50k or so it just freezes and times out. By pausing and resuming repeatedly, I've managed to download the first 2.6Mb... over the course of about an hour.

My internet connection in general is running fine - it's only this file I can't download. Is it just me?

Hell yes! This means that enduring a festival is no longer necessary to see them in the LA area!

I had no problem downloading the interview. That conversation was rough, though.

It was working fine today, so I got it.

The other day, the stream was equally rough, which was what prompted me to try a download in the first place. Other parts of the internet were all working just fine. I dunno, go figure. Anyways, I got it now. Cheers Vish!

Until I saw the documentary last week, I had no idea Walford played drums on the first couple of Breeders records. Totally WTFed me.

Vish vs. Nardwuar in an epic battle of Canadian rock interviewer excellence. I'd buy tickets to that.

Really glad Vish does his thing. He's also, simultaneously, a bit self-indulgent and obtuse. He's like the most Canadian indie-rock interviewer ever, the native informant playing to multicultural norms. Vish is great b/c he genuinely loves the music and is part of the scene. On the other hand, the self-indulgence and fanboy qualities leave something to be desired for me.

Unless there is some really radical difference in these mixes (like an unused vocal track or something), this strikes me as quite the cash grab. I mean, didn't the Spiderland deluxe edition pretty much clean out that closet?

Shit, they could have at least released some hi-fi live stuff or perhaps a recording of that song "King's Approach." Instead, it's just more of the same marginalia.

That said, I'll probably wind up buying this thing, along w/all the other suckers and fetishists.

I'll buy it.

I just bought Yes Fragile for the 4th time. Why not a hot Bob Weston mix disco 12" Slint 45?
