Erm, for that you would require this box set...

KC slayed last night in Milwaukee, faces were melted. They even played Breathless from the Fripp Exposure lp. Go see them, and I think they are going to tour the UK, too.

Ha. In high school I took a "modern poetry" class in which each student had to play and discuss poetry put to music. The above is the track I presented.

Hey Redline what’s your take on the “Steve Wilson” stereo mixes?

I like them. Some poeple don't, but usually you can ignore the remix if you want and listen to the original mix...I'm jealous of the 5 chan. mixes, there's no way I'm going to venture into quad + at this point, but I don't mind them having on a BluRay if a way to listen to them cheaply appears.

Maybe the Red remix does not matter. It was already the best sounding King Crimson lp. It already sounded great. The most improved lp was the Larks Tongues in Aspic Fripp/Wilson remix, easy.

Also, the Steven Wilson Yes remixes are pretty great too. They are true re-mixes from a fan, not just a remastered-improved thing.

I can't imagine wanting to hear a remix of albums that I loved in their original format. The mix is part of the music. That plus me hating WIlson's music makes it impossible for me to care.

I'd have far more respect for the idea of someone like Colin Marston getting the honor. Still wouldn't long for remixes.

I’m not familiar with his music but am curious what the “cleaned up” mixes sound like. Partly fueled by my inability to find examples on the internet. I’m sure Colin Marston would do a good job as well.

Thanks to algorhythings, I just noticed I liked this album. Sick cover!! Thanks... youtube......

Just caught that year ago Lizard bit cheer, one of my favs! While I can take or leave the lyrics, they fine, the instrumentals of Cirkus are awesome. Just the bass does it for me, very simple and heavy. Any Krimanoids have a live version that thumps harder, plz 2 post, I like the one from Ladies of the Road. Will have to listen to this remaster I spose.

It was pretty funny to stream the new gore/cult Nick Cage movie Mandy and hear this come out of the Hi-Fi...

4:12...John Wetton was still writing the words but went for it on a French tv show, this is one of the bass lines I wish I wrote, simple and crushing. If anyone disagrees with me, then I'm Ralph Nader.

I saw them yesterday, 7 members line-up with 3 drummers.

Needlessly to say I really enjoyed it but my gripe was that while I was really interested in what they're going to do with 3 drummers the answer was: not much. For a lot of time they're playing the same or near-the-same stuff and when they don't it's usually BANG SPLASH BANG cacophony. So as much fun as it is to watch drummers play in sync the drum sound absolutely dominated everything else sound-level-wise. I had lots of "oh I can hear the band so well now, Fripp's guitar sounds epic.. oh, that's because just one drummer is playing" moments - I honestly wish they just had one drummer for 85% of the time.

Also, Fripp had some tuning issues in 2 one of the songs, one of them being "Frame by Frame" and when he came back he and Jakko Jakszyk (singer/guitarist) just couldn't sync up so the song ended on a rather royal screw up. So they're human beings, too. Jakko Jakszyk to me felt more at home in more 70''s (or 70's a like) material then in the Belew era in general, or at least that was my impression.

Fripp guitar sounded as good as one would expect from an absolute fucking legend. Possibly best guitar sound I've ever heard? I just wish it was more audible from behind the THUNDERING DRUM SOUND.

Still, waaaay NC.

Has three drum kits ever been a good idea? Two kits is usually one too many.

Robert Fripp rig rundown with his guitar tech, Biff Brzyxuzhehurrllurrlzzxxy.

I wonder, once Biff gets another 10 to 15 years in, if Fripp will finally let him touch the guitar neck.

Probably not...

The best thing is Robert makes all of that new crap sound like old cool crap.

I never liked the two drummer lineup. Pat was unnecessary, when Bruford is always enough. The "BANG SPLASH BANG cacophony" you describe is exactly how I felt about KC since Pat joined. It's clearly even worse now by the sounds. However, I'm sure the experience of actually seeing them live would be fantastic despite problems I have with the lineup.
