Somewhere between the honest truth and just being a cranky old rich dude. Hilarious. Every answer! Love it.

Young Brando might be the most handsome man alive, of course Richard Pryor.
Kerouacian as fuck.

Antonio Carlos Jobim was a genius.

As is Quincy.

Most of my faves are from that period onward, either way, here are a few of my best loved brazilian albums:

No one did a good quality vid of this one, worth searching the individual songs:

This is great later period Caetano:

Probably the richest musical culture of any country on earth.

The BBC Series Brazil Brazil is the best English language guide. Ignore the Bebel Gilberto parts, no one in Brazil has the faintest idea who she is...

The interesting angle of the doc is connecting politics and music.

I love Brazilian music! Also, Richard Pryor was pretty open about his bisexuality, and talked about a sexual relationship with another man onstage at the Hollywood Bowl (he talked about it onstage, he didn't have a sexual relationship onstage), so I figure it's probably true that Brando and Pryor slept together and that if anyone knew about it, Quincy would.

I like the record, but this stuff REALLY comes to life onstage, if you catch the show with the full band.

Some of my favourites from the last ten years, there's more, though:

This is a trilogy:

I've posted this record here a number of times at this point:

This Gal album is produced and pretty much all written by Caetano, it's her electronic album, and IMO it mostly succeeds at being very interesting. You'll know you if it's for you by the end of the first track:
