I'm liking this season. The guest stars are the only real drawback for me. Almost all of them seem too aware they're on Curb, if you know what I mean.

Funkhouser's nephew's funeral episode was great, but I wish they had used the picture of his nephew wearing the running-with-the-bulls costume up front during the service, especially with the trampling that happened after Larry put everyone into a panic.

Great finale for this season. It somehow captured the feeling of the last Seinfeld episode that everyone hated. I loved it.

The new season is solid. Three years later.

I know there's a lot going on, but doesn't anyone watch this show anymore?

There’s a new season? Need to grip an HBO password. The last season was fucking brilliant.

Maybe the only comedy show I don't snipe at for telegraphing every move. The cringing inevitability of it all.

I'm assuming/hoping:

Funkhauser will be killed off by one of the scones?

Can't wait for more Lee friction.

NC of course.

I saw Curb come on the TV, and said "I thought we cancelled HBO! We never watch it!"

Now we're stuck. We'll keep HBO till season 10 (!!!) ends.

If anything, Larry has ramped up the "not a fuck was given" vibe.

I'm about to crack open the new season. I have to wait on my brother's schedule to watch it though.

Great season so far. I've long been harbouring the suspicion that it might have peaked a few seasons back, but that's not to say it's not up to scratch. I'm eagerly awaiting being proved totally wrong on that front.

It's still a firm favourite of mine, one of my all time favourite comedy shows. I just started to see a winning formula in terms of pacing and structure that I knew they wouldn't want to stick to because it sucks the improvisational nature of it away.

The interactions between Leon and Larry really make the show for me. Like this scene. I don't know how many times I've watched it at this point. Leon trying on those clothes! Kills me! I'm sure it was improvised...from what Jeff Garlin has said, they have a rough sketch/outline for scenes and what the characters are doing, but I believe that most of the dialogue is cut together in the moment.

Yeah, that's how it's done.

And Leon is brilliant, agreed

Leon seemed a little geeked-up in the last episode with Fred Armisen. I got a weird vibe. Maybe B. Smoove had a cold...

Episode MVP = Fred Armisen.

Runner up = the Nazi German Shepherd.

Edgar Blackmon from Second City was in there, as the waiter in the little bistro. Or maybe that was a diff episode.

He's funny.

I stopped watching Curb for a few seasons. Dunno why. I'm enjoying it a lot this year.

Yesterday I was in the dentists office and saw Larry David on the cover of GQ... The story / interview was pretty hilarious.

He has more money than God. Netflix paid 500 Million to stream Seinfeld starting in 2021..

He's on record as saying he doesn't want Bernie as president because it's a pain in the ass for him to fly to New York to do his Bernie impression on SNL.

Norm Macdonald was an inversion of that, in the mid nineties. He wanted Bob Dole to become president so that he'd have steady work doing his Bob Dole impersonation.
