David Yow was last seen crowdsurfing down Clark St. and into John Barleycorn.

The Culture Creature podcast's recent interview with David Yow is good stuff, and the interview with Duane is really great, especially.

Nice! Thanks for this. I especially liked how they talked about when Gerard Depardieu fronted them in '94

Depardieu was never a very agile crowd surfer. His ball work less intense.

For 45 seconds you are the singer of the Jesus Lizard waiting to sing. It made my heart skip.

Yeah, this is great! Now I'm regretting missing out on tickets. Boy.

Oh, so Dead Rider are supporting the Jesus Lizard a mere 4000 miles away, are they?

Possible pregame tonight at 7:30 at GMan. The Canadian mentioned something about Half Acre as well.

My neck hurts. My whole body hurts. So good in Nashville.
Unless they change their infrastructure, they're not ready for a punk show.

So good. My neck doesn’t hurt but my head does because I went to a friends house after, smoked a bong, stood up too fast, got lightheaded and passed out and hit my head on a steel frame shelf. Small cut but a lot of blood.

It was totally worth that plus the drive from Minneapolis to Chicago and back.

Go see them. It looked and sounded like one of their shows from the ‘90’s. It was perfect.

Picked up a copy of Head for the first time and gave it a listen. Really tremendous. I find most bands that sound like the Jesus Lizard or Shellac to be rather pathetic, its been done and isn't being done better, rather sounds completely spineless besides all the overtly forced testosterone involved. But those two bands are truly great. I feel the same way with hardcore. Hate almost all of it except the originators or bands that somehow transcended the genre. It's not about being "original" so much to me as about going out on your own and having some genuine courage, rather than receding into an all too comfortable subculture under the phony pretense and guise of "this is real music!". But I hate the music the more I get the feeling the latter is going on. If its not that at all, I love anyone for trying haha.

Jesus Lizard are extremely NOT CRAP, however.
