wow, very nice!

Yes, this space looks awesome.

Can we talk about that rug on the right-hand side? Specifically: where did you get that rug? Because I love that rug and want to buy one.

the rug is from www.esalerugs.com. they are great! totally reasonable prices and super fast shipping. we have 3 rugs from them, all very nice.

if we owned this place i'd put in hardwood floors everywhere (i put one in my studio, because i'm in there all the time and wanted a nice floor goddammit), and it'd look 20 times better in here. but we rent so fuck that.

Only recently come together, now that wifey and I have a house instead of an apartment.
Stage box in the "live" room (den) leads to the adjacent "control" bedroom, so as to avoid running 20 cables out the door and down a hallway.
Room treatment to come of course.

Our usual room is this tiny 3.5m x 3.5m room. It’s fine though because there’s only two of us.

Image

We have used this room a few times and it feels massive although it’s only 1.5m longer than the other room.

Image

The rooms do have a beer vending machine, which is pretty great.

Our subterranean practice spot always reminds me of the Ninja Turtle lair or something. There's even a quarter pipe along that one wall in the last photo, if you're into skateboarding (I'm not)...

Jesus.... our practice space (affectionately known as The Racket Club) is the antithesis of that ^^^^
A quater-pipe?!?!?!

We play in what used to be the third floor Janitor's closet of an old public school.

That's a Scarlett 18i20 on the lower shelf - I use the top shelf of that baker's rack to put my laptop on when we record. It's a lot like having a standing desk, hahahaha... but in all seriousness, it's a lot better than crouching over with a guitar hanging off my neck, to save/reset tracks between songs.

Hhhhyep. It's cozy!

Jesus. I thought Canada was much bigger than that.

Well, it definitely is when you're oot and aboot...
but when you live in 24/7 darkness and perma-winter, there's only so much whale blubber you can burn, eh. It's just best to stay close.

So Canada is bigger on the outside than in, like a reverse TARDIS?

I'm just starting the planning of my v.3 space. The live/performance room will be much smaller, but I'll have a control room that's about 2x the size of my last one. Woo hoo! I'm getting so many ideas from all these pics. I love this thread. I'll post pics when I'm done.
