most econimical way for digital recording practice

Postby corleoni on Sun Jan 10, 2016 5:00 pm

Hey everyone,

We've been recording our 2 piece this way:
Drums into 6 channels of a free Mackie 16 channel mixer, out of the L & R into 2 separate inputs of an Alesis io14
Guitar with one mic to one input of the alesis
Vocals through PA then from tape out of PA to one in put of alesis

I upgraded my OS and the alesis is no longer functional. We also want to increase mics on drums. Was thinking:

Why not run EVERYTHING through the mackie, then the L & R to 2 inputs of a different IO interface that IS compatible with mac...

Recommendations?

Thanks!

Hey, you'll probably get more response to this over at the Tech Room sub-forum (this is pretty much just for questions specific to EA).
