My group, The Dress Circle, will be playing the Hideout this Saturday. FM PEPPER! will be playing baritone guitar and FM Mendoza will be on drums. These are handsome, distinguished men, deserving of your time.

We'll be opening for The Messthetics, a wonderful band that features Joe and Brendan from Fugazi, and Anthony Pirog on guitar. They are swell guys and their record kicks ass.

The Poison Arrows are also on the bill but I don't know them.

Tim Furnish's Louisville band Parlour will be playing Chicago this Friday (May 11th). If you've been interested in his other related acts like Crain or the For Carnation or Aerial M., I recommend the show!

Friday, May 11
Imelda Marcos / Parlour (KY) / William Covert
@ The Burlington -- 9PM

2016 interview with Furnish

Fake Limbs will be playing our last show for the foreseeable future tomorrow, June 4th, 2018 nearly 7 years after our first performance at the 2011 PRF BBQ.
The location is The Empty Bottle 1035 N Western Ave. Chicago, IL 60622
The time is 8:30pm.
The other musical acts are Lee Bains III and the Glory Fires and Navy Gangs.
Fake Limbs will play first.

We hope to see you there.

Remember MF Nightmen? Remember his awesome bass player, Erik, who has the custom EGC with the lightning bolt? They played in The Hype and in Tiifighter. They go by the name Panl Haus now and are playing a show at the Burlington on Saturday.

They play about once a year but like to keep it on the down low. I'm telling you because it's usually a pretty great thing. They played Lowdown by Boz Scaggs last time I saw them. How amazing is that?!?!

You can thank me later.

I'll be seeing them next Saturday at Circle A in Milwaukee. Should be fun, that room is teeny!

For that crew, this is a heck of a lot of activity!

I noticed that they finally set up their bandcamp so that you can buy songs. But not before removing their Lowdown cover. AND you have to click on every single song and buy it separately. It's sheer insanity. They took one of the easiest things possible and made it complicated. Fortunately, I'm very persistent and I bought every one.

This looks cool. The CPS is a cool space. I saw a rad fest there about 10 years ago.

Holy shit. I'll be in Detroit seeing TJL the night before, I'll have to make it back for this. September is going to rule.

Thanks for the info. I'll try to make it if I'm not incarcerated or banned from Chicago at that point. Break a leg.

Live wire lounge: Nonagon, Andrew Cohen and Light Coma, Fucker Jr. Music at 8. October 25th. I decided to put together a show as a birthday gift to myself. My actual birthday is the 25th.

I love the idea of birthday shows. It's a very celebratory thing to do!
