Wild Nothing Notcturne hasn't left my turntable in over a week. It's one of my favorite albums of last year.

Yeah, it's definitely on my best of list of 2012, and I too have been playing it often. The 12" is good as well. I'm waiting for this repress of Gemini to happen because this is what I first heard of them at my local shop and I liked it enough to ask who it was.

Portal - Outre LP
Revenge - Triumph.Genocide.Antichrist LP

Both are reissues, and though the packaging for the Revenge record looks great, the inner sleeve + record does not fit within the super glossy outer sleeve, which is a first for me.

If Charlie Rangel ever cut an album, I guarantee it wouldn't be as cool as this.

A track from this, "Didn't I", was on some TV show - Breaking Bad, I think. Loved it, had the presence of mind to whip out the Android phone to try and identify it, clicked on Shazam, learned it was Darondo. Thanks, presence of mind. Thanks, Shazam. Thanks, Breaking Bad music supervisor. And thanks, Darondo, because these are some very fine nearly-Al-Green cuts.

Dude at Dusty Groove didn't believe Shazam knew about Darondo. I was all like Shazam knows about Darondo, dude at Dusty Groove.

And a copy of Scott 13.

Calexico Road Atlas 12LP box set

I preordered this when it came out 2 years ago ($150) and my order was later cancelled. Since then I've seen them go for $300-$500 on eBay/Discogs. Fuck that.

Won a copy on eBay for $180. That's fair.

I'm done buying records for a while.
