Got this 7 inch as Jim O'Rourke name dropped it at some point, really like it. Kinda hippy.

45s

The Jades - "Lucky Fellow" (reissue)
Beau Dollar & The Coins - "Soul Serenade"
Bobby Reed - "The Time is Right for Love" (reissue)
Dena Barnes - "If You Ever Walk Out of My Life" (reissue)
The Sparkels - "That Boy of Mine" (reissue)
The Fabulous Dynamics - "Get Hip to Yourself" (reissue)
Kim Deal - "Walking with a Killer"
Kim Deal - "Hot Shot"
Kim Deal - "Are You Mine?"
Kim Deal - "The Root"
Kim Deal - "Biker Gone"
Dos Santos - "Manos Ajenas"

LPs

Cavern of Anti-Matter - Hormone Lemonade
Nicholas Littlemore/Thierry Muller - Days of Vermillion Sands

CDs

Bohren & Club der Gore - Sunset Mission
Bilderine - Split Seconds
Aimee Mann - Lost in Space
Various Artists - The Journey: From Ayr to Here

Digital Downloads

The Irascibles - Blues is a Calling
The Breeders - All Nerve
Mint Mile - Heartroller
The Mauskovic Dance Band - Down in the Basement
Sonny Sharock - Seize the Rainbow

Some of these were gifted - I love free records! Have listed the B side of the 45s in cases wherein I didn't buy the record for the A side. That Jades track "Lucky Fellow" has eluded me for years, even in the comparatively cheap reissue form. I don't know how many Grapevine put out in the mid Aughts before they went under, but they've always seemed to get snatched up quickly.

Laurie Styvers - Beat the Reaper

You might also want to check out the LP that track's off. It's not great as an album, but if you liked 'Beat the Reaper', you might very well like a few of the others. 'All I Ever Had' is outstanding.

LPs

Onyx - Complete Works 1981–1983

CDs

Various Artists - Don't Stop - Recording Tap
Dos Santos - Logos

Digital Downloads

Harrison - "Uncle Soul Wants You"
Gwen McCrae - "Keep the Fires Burning"
Spade Brigade - "I'm Your Man"
Jesus Wayne - "Chicago Party Theme"
The Universal Togetherness Band - "My Sentiment" b/w "Missing You"
Various Artists - Boddie Acetate Box

I accidentally bought a house remix of "Keep the Fires Burning" which turned out to be another needless dogshit reworking/update/"edit" of a perfectly good disco track. I love "proto-disco funk," "proper" disco for discerning listeners, early disco-rap, and Eighties soul with hangovers from the disco era (though a lot of things labeled "boogie" don't do it for me); BUT I have no patience for most fake-disco house music. It might be that I just don't have time for a lot of what's considered "funky" house music anymore.

Also, when I put together a Sixties-style soul mixtape, that Harrison track (which you can get from Numero Group) will be the first thing on it. For me it's total bliss, like a really tight Allen Toussaint-produced track. So catchy.

Finally bought Confirmation Bias by Yeesh and they don't exist as a band any longer. Boo!

https://yeeshband.bandcamp.com/album/confirmation-bias

In my mind, Yeesh, along with Pile and Ovlov, are part of a series of bands that are influenced by different aspects of Unwound. I think that Unwound is a huge influence on many, many bands playing or forming today. I hope that I'm right!

"April dooooommmm...."

As much as I love those classics I bought this one for the tracks that didn't get compiled on My Daughter the Broad and Bananimals, etc. There's some pretty amusing fare that didn't make the cut on those, for whatever reason.
