Laurie Styvers - Beat the Reaper

You might also want to check out the LP that track's off. It's not great as an album, but if you liked 'Beat the Reaper', you might very well like a few of the others. 'All I Ever Had' is outstanding.

Got the LP and yes, I do like a lot of the songs! She seems to have had a sad story. Somebody should make a compilation of this stuff.

That John Entwistle album is a favorite of mine. If you like it, check out the follow up Whistle Rymes. His solo output declines in quality from there (in my opinion) but those first two are really good.

Not a bad representation of the kind of music I go for these days ^^^.

This Richard Caiton track will be the first thing on my next soul and funk mixtape:

(His stuff rules!)

Then I'll lead it into The Montclairs' "Hey You! Don't Fight It" and then Eddie Drennon & The B.B.S. Unlimited's "Do What You Gotta Do."

Golden Harvest deserve their own thread.

Sailor's Tales

Ding! Easily the weirdest box Crimson set, but also the most rewarding (besides Road To Red).

Agreed. Just bought it to complete things but surprised by how much of it I like. There's still much I haven't listened to. I'd heard the studio material before years ago and more or less dismissed anything pre-Lark's. Happy to revise this view and I have a new found love for Islands. Starless and Road to Red remain my go to KC box sets.
