I thought this thread was for one sentence indie rock confessions

The staff weren't giving me the things I needed to do my job effectively and give the kids their money's worth...it wasn't too hard considering the concert was only $5

Noted -- and I'm cool with Nirvana being my kids' classic rock.

I like Grant Hart's solo stuff more than I like Husker Du.

And I hate the band Twin Peaks but I've never heard them and I know nothing about them aside from having to read their goddamn band name everywhere. Perhaps that's more of an Air Your Prejudices.

My indie rock confession is that I don't care enough about indie rock any more to have confessions about it.

I learnt tonight that “Everybody’s Been Burned” is actually a song by The Byrds and Sebadoh covered it on “Smash Yr Head On The Punk Rock”. For the last 20+ years, I thought it was an original Sebadoh song.

I never *got* the Replacements. I've heard some really tuneful songs here and there that I think are awesome, but I bought Tim and it just kind of seems like workaday bar rock that I can't be bothered to check out any more.

Perhaps you'd be better off sticking with the Originals.

Technically, that's a one-sentence major-label aggro-metal confession.

Bon Iver makes me irrationally angry and I don't know why because I've never listened to or met him and I never will.

I often imagine what A Raw Youth would sound like with Dave Grohl on the drums.*

*Probably because "They Fuck You Over" has a similar rhythm to "Drain You." Nothing against Chris, mind you, I think he's great, but, y'know... Grohl. I mean, Terri goes through drummers like Liz Taylor went through husbands, so it might happen someday. You never know.

I seem to be the only heterosexual male that regularly listens to and enjoys Alison Moyet's back catalogue.
