This is killer. I can't wait for the L.A. show!

I smell an upcoming PRFLA outing.

(And not mine.)

I'd be down. You're down here and not in the Bay Area?

I hope the LA folks already bought tickets because the show sold out. I found out the hard way last week, but luckily Amoeba still had a good amount of tickets so I just bought mine there. But this is bullshit, High on Fire didn't even sell out the El Rey. I figured they were bigger than Russian Circles. This could just be due to Stubhub reseller nonsense though.

Haven't been in the bay post-Stanny, no.

Do you know if Amoeba still has any available?

Ah, your location under your avatar threw me off then. According to Amoeba's website they still do, but I'd give them a call to make sure.

I just had a listen today.

Awesome, possibly my new "favourite band".

That clip was pretty great. Had never heard them prior even with all the praise here. If they ever come through Montreal I'll be there...

I have not figured out how to make mine glow in the dark. You're talking about Sleepwalking Sailors, right? It seems so perfect.

Fantastic.

This band kicks as much of my ass as any active band on the planet.

I only have the new record. I kinda don't want to listen to it, I have loved them live so much.

I finally had the chance to see them live at the Wonder Ballroom here in PDX and it was awesome. Definite highlight was Hozoji Margullis' drumwork. What a freakin' powerhouse...she just propelled their goddamn spaceship to the outer reaches. I'm told by the locals that I need to see her side project Lozen. I guess she holds down the bass in a two-piece for that one.

Tim, I owned all three records before I saw them live and, while I appreciate them on record, the live show is better. That said it is far from night and day...I connect much better with the new record after seeing them live.

Lozen ain't no side project. They've actually been around for a LOT longer than Helms Alee.
Hozi usually plays guitar or bass, but more towards bass there these days.

Every so often they'll do a double drummer thing too.
Great band!
