Bakesale is pretty much the best of Sebadoh. Pick that one up and you're fucking golden.

Hmmm... that's prickly.
There are a multitude of different KIND of Sebadoh songs.

Although, I'd hazard a guess and say that only the most trite contrarions among us would single out Eric Gaffney's songs as worth while for a comp. They have their charms, but is Elixir is Zog really one for the ages? Maybe for somebody, but not me.
(actually I just re-listened to that song and it was pretty rad, but it's no Rebound or Magnet's Coil, and DEFINITELY no Brand New Love)

I could PROBABLY do this, but I'm getting kind of backlogged, so if somebody wants to step up?

Otherwise I'll find my copy of III and put it in queue.

I'll make a Sebadoh, but it might stop at Harmacy. Maybe I'll listen to The Sebadoh again, but there should be enough prior to make a solid, solid mix.

Just did quick run through of The Sebadoh. The mix will definitely stop prior to that album, and will probably focus on post-Weed Forestin'. If I had the Belt Buckle 7" in a digital format, something would come off there. That was an awesome, random Other Music find way back.
Hope to upload tomorrow.

Working on the final sequence for the God Bullies mix.

It didn't go quite the way I thought - this is a hard band to sequence, because they don't have much uptempo material. So I basically put a lot of uptempo material at the beginning. It also looks like I'm including more material from the deeply flawed last album than I expected to, and possibly no material from the Join Satan's Army double-single. But I think it ought to serve as a good sampler and introduction.
Life...life...I know it's got its ups and downs.

In the someday, what's that sound.

Shonen Knife? I'm lost at how to work with their discography, because as far as I've seen, there's gems and there's cutesy songs and there's just dumb pop songs on almost every album.

And Railroad Jerk? I only know a bit about them, but I'd be interested in their scuzz-blues.

In return I could probably do something on like Catherine Wheel or like a "best of" on the Killed By Death series.
Kerouacian as fuck.

I can and will do this one, though I'd just get 'One track mind' and be done with it, that's all you really need to hear

I know of one dude on this forum who'd probably be perfect for this. Whether he'd be up for it is probably a different matter.

It took me awhile, but here is my compilation of the Birthday Party:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/8dm8bw
This was difficult as they are one of my very favorite bands, I tried to do a good balance of classic tracks and hidden gems. Many people point to the incredibly abrasive Junkyard album as the go to. I like it, but I think it's a difficult place to come in.

In some cases I included the Peel sessions version of a song, and 2 songs never made it on proper albums [Rowland Around In that Stuff and (Sometimes) Pleasure Heads Must Burn].

The very first song I ever heard by the Birthday Party is one of their final recordings. Sonny's Burning starts with "HANDS UP, WHO WANTS TO DIE?"
I was hooked, immediately, and they became one of my favorite bands.
Hopefully you will be too.

The Birthday Party - Hands Up, Who Wants To Die?

1. Sonny's Burning (The Bad Seed ep)
2. Mr. Clarinet (The Birthday Party)
3. Blast Off (Junkyard)
4. Cry (Prayers on Fire
5. Rowland Around In That Stuff (Peel Sessions)
6. Happy Birthday (The Birthday Party)
7. King Ink (Prayers on Fire)
8. Dead Joe (Junkyard)
9. Swampland (The "Mutiny" Sessions)
10. The Dim Locator (Junkyard)
11. (Sometimes) Pleasure Heads Must Burn (Peel Sessions)
12. Guilt Parade (The Birthday Party)
13. Zoo Music Girl (Prayers On Fire)
14. Big Jesus Trash Can (Peel Sessions)
15. Six Strings That Drew Blood (The "Mutiny" Sessions)
16. The Friend Catcher (The Birthday Party)
17. She's Hit (Junkyard)
18. Figure of Fun (Peel Sessions)
19. The Hair Shirt (Hee Haw ep)
20. Deep In the Woods (The Bad Seed ep)
21. A Catholic Skin (Hee Haw ep)
22. Mutiny in Heaven (The "Mutiny" Sessions)

(oh yeah and tallchris, you'll be happy to know I left off Nick The Stripper)

Sebadoh - A Lie We Have Been Living Through
http://www.mediafire.com/?6s1u1dl32fcjw

Two Years Two Days (Bubble And Scrape)
Beauty Of The Ride (Harmacy)
Careful (Bakesale)
Truly Great Thing (III)
Happily Divided (Bubble And Scrape)
Notsur Dnuora Selcric (Smash Your Head On The Punk Rock)
Rebound (Bakesale)
Willing To Wait (Harmacy)
New Worship (The Freed Weed)
Homemade (Bubble And Scrape)
Scars, Four Eyes (III)
License To Confuse (Bakesale)
Whitey Peach (The Freed Weed)
Can't Give Up (Harmacy)
Supernatural Force (III)
Gimmie Indie Rock (Rocking The Forest)
The Freed Pig (III)
Not Too Amused (Bakesale)
Bouquet For A Siren (Bubble And Scrape)
Brand New Love (Smash Your Head On The Punk Rock)

This came close to being a Bakesale/Bubble & Scrape mix. The Gaffney stuff is probably not adequately represented, but I tried.

Thanks. Man, I easily could have made this twice as long. Fuck, it would be hard to make an 80 minute mix of only Tim songs or only Andy songs. I tried to include a few deep cuts and some rarer things so that folks who know the whole catalog would enjoy it as well as noobz.

I would love to hear a someones version of a compilation of Thinking Fellers Union Local 282 songs. I made one a couple of years ago myself that I can try to upload here within the next couple of days, but I must say although it rocks, it's lacking a lot of material due to a couple albums I did not have at the time. Only one or two Feller Filler inclusions as well, which is great for some and terrible for others.

Haha, you know I've actually considered doing just that myself. Making two separate mixes of just Tim and just Andy material that is. Would make it a lot easier on choosing songs to include. I think it's great you added songs like "Scruffy Tumor" and "Ogilvie" to the mix too, as they are definitely overlooked parts of their catalog.
