The broke up in '96 after No More Apologies and singer Dave Couse put out a couple of more records, but now hosts a very good radio show on a Dublin station. No idea what happened to the other members. The Dropkick Murphys, I think, could be excellent. All the pieces are there, but they come off as a cheesy teen sensation mainstream "punk" band instead. They don't do it for me I'm afraid. There's still lots of great Irish stuff to be sought after though.

Mr Swansea, have you heard the Irish band Mexican Pets and their record Humbucker? That is a fine record. They were on Andy Cairns' label, but they are much better than Therapy? Youtube has clips. It is my favourite Irish record after uh... Thin Lizzy and Mellow Candle.

I wasn't convinced with the intro, but once the vocals kicked in I started getting more into it. It sounds pretty good. I never really liked Therapy? much myself to be honest, first two EPs are pretty good though.

I mentioned this band elsewhere, but I think you'll especially like them if you like this stuff, check out Schtum.

I made a pretty tasty Melvins mix if anyone is interested. Features songs from almost all of their albums, I believe.

Arvo Pärt.

But you have to read about it in the C/NC thread.

I made a Torche mix for Evin Relocation
It's still missing one track I have to digitize, but I suppose I could put it up if people are interested?

I have Black Sabbath 4 and Paranoid on vinyl, and that's about it on my Sabbath knowledge. Anyone want to help me out here?

This is going to sound weird, but, AC/DC.

Of course I know a lot of their music, and have heard a few albums, but I'd really like someone to compile a single disc best of for me to enjoy. Any takers?

You want an actual CD? I'll bring it to practice this week.

Can you put it up for download, too? I know the first four like the back if my hand, but can name like two songs from the next few.

Sure thing!
They are probably one of my more favorite active living bands out there right now.
I think it's a pretty good mix of the poppy, proggy and the doomy stuff.

I actually love all of their records.
It's by no means complete, In Return (for example) is not represented at all, but it's got a good mix of all the kinds of things they do and some of my most favorite songs by them.

By all means too, if you dig... pick up the records. Their artwork for the vinyl is off the chain amazing.
