Even if you write a name in- please consider voting in the primaries.
It is your one chance to have an option.

Giannoulias Tops Kirk in Illinois

A new Public Policy Polling survey in Illinois finds Alexi Giannoulias (D) leading Rep. Mark Kirk (R) in the U.S. Senate race, 42% to 34%.

However, Kirk leads the other two candidates, topping Cheryle Jackson, 38% to 36%, and edging David Hoffman, 37% to 36%.

The primary to choose the candidates is next week.

Giannoulias should win the primary. He's got a big lead there as well.

With all the name recognition that Mark Kirk already has in Illinois, making up 8 points on Giannoulias would be very difficult.

No more Martha Coakleys, please.

my childhood neighbor is named todd connor, and he's front runner for the president of the water reclamation district, which is a non-glamorous position which carries a huge financial responsibility. he's in his early thirties, has received endorsements from both the trib and the sun times, as well as the links heather posted above. he's a democrat with navy officer experience, and i have faith in him.
Hope I die before I get flu!

You can find precinct information, and a list of the candidates and the offices that they are running for, here.

This swayed my otherwise indifferent, empty ballot on that issue. Good luck.

Sorry to see that he lost.

In other news, Giannoulias is going to get his lunch eaten in November.

What makes you say that, alandeus? I know about some of his flaws, but I am pretty sure he's gonna win.
