Upcoming shows *beyond* Chicago

Postby Arson Smith on Tue Mar 09, 2010 2:23 pm

(OK, rather than start 'Upcoming shows in _____' threads for every city imaginable...)

How about this thread, specifically for some of the PRF-adored bands...?

You live somewhere else, and can't make it up to Chicago to see one of these bands?

Well here's where we can talk about some of them coming TO YOU! (or NEAR YOU!)

I'll start:

The Bitter Tears (+ TBA?)
Thursday, March 18th
@ Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center
Urbana, IL
8pm

The Bitter Tears + The Columbines (+ TBA?)
Friday, March 19th
@ 2720 Cherokee
Saint Louis, MO
Doors 8pm
Show 9pm-12:30am
$5 cover ($8 for under 21)

Is charging more money to people under 21 a common thing? I have never heard of that... [/hijack]

We may take up Knox's offer if she doesn't have a full car and/or we can figure out logistics. We may rent a car this weekend if we can't coordinate with Knox. If we rent a car does anyone need a ride? Let me know ASAP so I can reserve the car tomorrow if need be!
You guys don't mind that I crash your little sausage party, right?

My band The Suit is playing a benefit this Sunday, around 4:30 PM for some friends of ours. We are last, i.e. when all of us old folks usually like to nap, as Sundays usually dictate, but we can't ignore the cause.

Hmmm. I may have to head down to Denver, head home for a roller derby bout (I have to DJ), then head back to Denver that night. I am stoked that you guys are coming here.

Christoph Heemann is coming to the US next week to do a month-long tour. I highly, highly suggest you go see him if you can. His previous output includes being a number of H.N.A.S. and Mirror. He's also collaborated with Jim O'Rourke, Charlemagne Palestine and numerous others. Currently, he's been a member of the duo In Camera.
