Domiziana Giordano in Tarkovsky's Nostalgia. Pretty sure her hair achieves sentience in the first act.

Liked her lists when she was at Rouge Tomate a hell of a lot. Particularly strong on the Loire and Jura.

funny...looked at the rouge tomate menu now that she left and its awful. i barely enjoyed my meal there. wine was fine but service and food were forgettable.

interesting call on a crush though.

PL seems cool. I'd like to see an example of her lists when RT was in its pomp.

Forgettable (totally invisible) service is the ideal. It's fun when you have a cute waitress that your date is into and you can dream of a post-dinner threesome, but really the best is when everything happens as it should and you don't notice it at all.

This Czech actress named Vlasta Fialova, who hit her prime in the 40s:

Naturally beautiful, she was the fine-aging sort too:

No fucking botox, no plastic surgeries. Even when she went almost fossil, you could tell what a gem she must have been at some point: Image

She could get away with hairy armpits just fine, too:

I have never actually consumed food at Rouge Tomate.

The lists during the Pascaline era were a nice mix of very classic stuff from France, Italy, and Germany alongside a good number of hipper but quite skilled natural wine producers. If memory serves, Bodega Mendall/Laureano Serres's 5 Anys i un Dia, a superoxidative, almost brown, rancio-like thing from Terra Alta in Spanish Catalonia, really turned my crank.

Pascaline coauthored the most recent Alice Feiring book and I suspect that aesthetic may have clashed a little w/RT's more staid tendencies.

crushing hard on anna matthews

mostly bc she looks almost exactly like this girl i worked briefly with last spring and never quite pulled it off.. because all the cards were stacked against me there like that. my boss hated me, etc.

i mean this could be her twin sister... only anna obviously trains like an athlete. same build same face.. its incredible.

So I'm thinking who is this chick, maybe she's on a stupid TV show or is a crappy singer?

No, what she does is have people take photographs of her bottom! And what a very nice <bites knuckles> bottom it is, too. Sometimes it's good to be reminded that we are just monkeys after all.

But I'd like to see your award-winning wine list, bare bum-cheek girl! Can you pour me a Loire Chenin that tastes like a bruised russet apple that's been left forgotten in a leather handbag along with a pair of used panties the day after the owner has done the walk of shame?

very well played sir.. and I realize what this thread is really about and can totally empathize. Ive been there a few times myself. a superior kind of.. you know. THING.

but i maintain that this girl was next to identical to the above and whats more it is perfectly concievable that she very well may have been an extra naughty waitress one time or two. certainly she did know wine, or i should assume as much because she barbacked also.

touche, touche; I am the lowly temp dishwasher, and part-time cookie-monster, its no secret.
