Not sure if anyone here is all that into cars or motorsports, but pre-World War I racecars really lend credence to the Hemingway line about "the only sports." Everything about it was raw and brutal.

This thing just looks like a monster and watching the massive crank and flywheel shaking the bejesus out of the whole frame while it roars without any exhaust...Good god.

Never seen a butchery done before, but that was great. Minutes 5-6 were especially great. It's hard not to respect skill of that level. That job would have taken me a whole day and I'd end up with something resembling ground round instead of masses of delicious cuts.

You can play the drums with your keyboard here. You can chose famous drummer dudes' setups, too. I went with Elvin Jones.

I honestly couldn't decide if this should be in cool or dumb shit, so I searched and popped it into the first one that came up.

A band friends are in recently played a show backing Bushwick Bill.

More on this if I ever get the details.

Do you need to entertain a small child for four minutes over and over again?

That one is a little hyperglycemic, but the production is by Yasutaka Nakata, whose own project Capsule is pretty mesmerising. And his production of the J-pop overlords Perfume on their last album is just, well, it's whatever great pop music is but taken to the next level. Digital J-reggae with a deranged fuzz bass solo? I'm glad you asked:

I LOVE PERFUME. I'm pretty sure I discovered them because someone posted the video for Spending All My Time in the "Well, thats it for me" thread. Doesn't belong there. Their music and videos are fantastic. Great pop music, indeed. I always wondered who produced a lot of their tracks. Thank you.

Hopefully I'm not giving the joke away, but what's great about this Natsume Mito single is that there are something like a dozen or so different videos for it. Here's a few more:
