This is very sad news.

I feared that he might have passed away but was afraid to ask about it here.

His to-the-point posts were always welcome no matter what the subject.

We'll miss having him about the place.

RIP

very sorry to hear this.

though he alluded to his very serious troubles, medical & otherwise, from time to time, i was always amazed & humbled by the humor, acceptance & resilience with which he confronted his circumstances.

he was a funny guy & a straight shooter.

RIP, rocker654.

The date of the obituary is May 28, 2010.

So he's been dead for over a year and not a one of us knew?

I don't think anyone here knew him personally: just on the net. My last message to him was Dec. 9th 2010 and I never heard back.

From his Myspace page:

I'm a pretty laid back (except when driving), calm in the face of the storm type. I've been a punk/metal/blues musician for many moons. I'm honest to a fault. I can sing full voiced in three octaves, was the singer for a Cheap Trick tribute band for a time, and can kick ass on all internet trolls.

So sad.

Rest in peace, good guy.

I am a coward enough to admit that I hope to never have to face circumstances as tough as he must have faced when he typed this. But, should that come to pass, I sincerely hope I can do so with a fraction of his dignity.

Salut, amigo. Your sentiments are strong medicine.

As Lemur points out, 2010!!!!?

I assumed by now he had gone through chemo, maybe gotten back to work or finding someone new, and just being too busy dealing with shit to post here.

Sweet Fucking Jesus this is heartbreaking.
