ALTO! were great at the BBQ, i only wish the floor had been more packed for serious dancing. there was one song where the guitar's melodic elements were replaced with squishy laser sounds. so fucking cool.

Thank you for this comment.

We are (mostly) making dance music and people don't always get that.

Will there be remix for the new one?

EDIT: I also like how this band's origins are from Yuma.

I love this so much. I have a completely weird thing about California grocery store/drug store parking lots at night. I teenage-love them.

Getting lost in a record fits into this perfectly.

Angus Jung wrote:ALTO! is looking for a late spring/summer show in Seattle and environs. Get in touch via PM if you are up there and looking to put a bill together.

Substitute "spring/summer" for "late October." Specifically Wed. the 22nd through Sat. the 25th.

Looking for any shows in Oly, Bellingham, Seattle, Tacoma that we can jump on. Any help or suggestions very much appreciated.

Both albums are great. I get the 1st song on the latest one running through my head often. Seeing that stuff performed live really sealed the deal for me.

Thanks for your purchase, and your kind words.

Our band has gotten a tremendous amount of support from this forum, and very little elsewhere. Thanks, all.

Thanks to FM Eugenius for representing at the show in Eugene last night. Good to see you man.

Porch kicked up some serious dust. I was picking up an Earth vibe on some of the slower passages in their songs, with the Tele and all.

Porch and ALTO! do it all over again this coming Tues. night @ the Bunk Bar in PDX. No other bands on the bill - just us. Come out.

.

Brothers and sisters, go see this band.

Angus and crew totally brought it in Denver last night. Their second-to-last piece was a scorching beast of a song that reminded me at times of my favorite aspects of Om, Neil Young, and Sir Richard Bishop. It took everything I had not to be the shirtless weirdo up front, swirling my shirt above my head and screaming "YEAH MOTHERFUCKER!!!! WOOOOOOOO!!!" whilst splashing beer everywhere. My face could have been none more slayed.

I grabbed a cellphone video of their last 2 tracks, but it does not do these guys justice. (It's shaky. I was holding the camera in front of my chest instead of in front of my face, because I didn't want to be "that guy". Also, the music of ALTO! precludes one from standing still.)

Three dates left!

Back home after 4,000 miles and 7 states in 10 days.

Thanks very much to FMs cneutron, Ben Abraham, los hermanos locos Villalobos, and everyone else @ PRF West Coast, as well as FM offal in Denver for his incredible hospitality.

We had a great tour, filled as always with non-stop debauchery:

You guys fucking RULED!

Our bass player wanted to get home right away to hear your dudes' first album on his table immediately. We got high as shit while still in Oakland, and I had a copy of your second album. We played that shit on loop for 3 hours leaving Oakland.

It was an honor meeting you dudes and playing with you guys. I wear my Alto! shirt with fuckin' pride.

Cheers!
