What, just because I never leave the house past 8 pm anymore, you think I don't think about you?

Yeah, though I'm still obsessed with many of them.

10 years, whoah, makes sense, cuz I met my wife 9 years ago.

Been lurking for a little while. The recent C/NC thread got me thinking about this board, and I was reminded of this thread.

What a fantastic environment this has been for me. Was the youngen (I believe AAAAARGH was the only soul here younger than I, way back when) I grew and settled into adulthood under the influence of the logical discourse of you folk; the likes of which I would never have had from any source IRL. Thank you to every member of this community for that. If the word "family" didn't have such a negative connotation for me that would be the word. I haven't been able to attend a BBQ or forge the personal relationships with you folk that I would have liked to; but this place, it's done a lot for me.

Patrick, a true master of his craft, is more than happy to bestow his knowledge on to me. John has extended more camaraderie to me online than most "friends" I've had for years. As an idiot 21-year-old in a foreign, daunting city, Kayte grabbed a few quick beers with me and made me--skitchy ass, easily overwhelmed me--feel acceptance in a way I can't explain. Jonah--after said beers--drove me home, out of his way, but along the way regaling me of tales of every spot we passed; a tour of sorts I won't soon forget.

Though I only know most of you in screen names and avatars, you all make up something which I am thankful to have found. Now having the means to do so, I would like to venture over and know you all more personally.

...Here's to 10 more years.

Edit: I just went through my very old PM inbox and there are messages from a ton of people offering help for any number of tech & personal problems I've encountered along the way whom I didn't acknowledge. I apologize I didn't include you in my initial post. These are people I've never met, doing their best to look out for a stranger. Sums up this place pretty well in my mind.

10 years. Tomorrow. I have learned a lot from this board. The Ask Tim Midyett thread should be required reading for everyone everywhere. Maybe in the future I'll find time to post more than once a week.

I'm coming up on my ten years this upcoming July. Jesus Christ, I thought I'd only been here for seven, now I'm ten months away from ten years.

pretty sure i'm close to the 10 year mark

went swimming a lot, 2 years of travelling the world, got engaged, lots of parties, got a cat, hung out with family, put out 4 records, played a ton of shows, became partner at my architecture firm. solid way to spend your 20s!

next 10 will probably include way more travelling, getting hitched, being drunk constantly, yelling at cops, having my own family, etc.. my 30s are going to be fun!

Hey, forum anniversary day for me--11 years on the nose.

Just realized that my location is still Chicago Proper, which I had changed when I moved out of the burbs and into the city when it was new to me... 10 years ago.

I, too, have been here ten years, as of a coupla weeks ago. Though "frequenting" would be too strong a word.

This forum has gotten me through some seriously terrible times (divorce, professional shit, intellectual ennui, my kid's illness), and while I do know I'd still be alive without y'unz, I am sure I wouldn't be in the place I am now.

I really have a hate/hate relationship with the internet -- I used to waste sooo much time on it -- but this is that one bright spot I can spend time and feel like I'm still in real life, not outside of it.

So yeah, whatever, but thank you PRF. You are a weird thing, and I love you people for it.

Teeeeeen years - that's what I got
Teeeeeen years - my brain hurts a lot

Greetings, ding dongs.

I don't post here as often as I used to because a actually speak on the phone with a lot of people whom I have made friends with through the PRF. Plus The Facebooks and all that.

But yeah, in no particular order - Faiz, Patrick, Beth, Mr King, Brian, Pete, Liz, Steve S., Tommy, I've had some damn good times with you people. Jodi, Hench, Tim, and a few others I've had a beer with, so very nice.

Mason, John, BR, Gerard, etc, etc, nice to keep up with you digitally as you do your things.

I genuinely have a soft spot for FMmostofy'all.

I've truly enjoyed arguing/agreeing with many of you about really stupid shit. The tech help has been great, and I'm probably a better recordist because of it. Also, Fake Italian changed my life.

Here's to another decade. I wuv woo. Salut!

holy cow -- been a few days over ten years since i first posted here, probably a year or more beyond that since i started lurking.

really, no hyperbole, this place changed my life for the better in so many crazy ways. things learned, music created, friends made, etc. i wrote the track for the 'lake of fake' compilation five years ago and it's even truer now: we have a beautiful thing. this is a beautiful thing.

thank you all so much. salut!
