Well, there's already 6 six of us expressing interest, we're at least halfway there if we want 12 teams.

Are we still happy with the league setup? If FM Samizdat is still able to organize it, then I'm all for doing the same with Fantrax.

Otherwise, I'm still for H2H, NO keeper, which we can set up easily via Yahoo.

I'm open to making it money, say between $5 - $20 bucks, to make it interesting, but its not a requirement for me.

I'm dead broke, so money will be a dealbreaker - but don't let that stop you, if you can fill a league with paying members, don't let me spoil the fun.

I'm thinking maybe we should make a trophy for the winner. I'll put a 20 on it. That way it's more for fun. If people don't have the cash no big deal. It would be pretty awesome for the PRF to have a trophy for the fantasy baseball league passed around year to year.

I would be in if it's a head-to-head league.

I can participate again if the draft takes place after March 18 and before March 30.

So far, it looks like we have:
amar
sitwell
non-FM Duck Snort Import
Incandenza
whoisalhedges
CSP_Skater
Carl(we should be able to draft when he's available)
don.chaney
a leg plaster

That's nine. Three more would be cool. We might have to talk about who will be commissioner if samizdat isn't around.

It's gotta happen. It BETTER happen.

BTW I don't think a league payment should be mandatory, but I like the idea of a few of us kicking in for a winner's pot. Should be totally optional, and I have the first $5-10 if we wanna do that.

I'm still in, and I know my brother who played last year is still in. I think some sort of incentive would be cool, but nobody should feel obligated. A small prize mostly for bragging rights. I know I had a good time last season and it would be cool to do it again.

Bumping to keep this thing alive! Three weeks exactly until opening day, and we have a draft to do. Who knows, maybe you'll be the one to draft the Mariners' human giant from the KBO Dae Ho Lee. Just look at this guy:

I'm no commissioner, but I'll help organize as best I can if need be. Let's do this.

I'm no commissioner either, but, I can try.

Here's a link if you want to join. The settings are all Yahoo defaults. If you want something changed, try to convince me.

My opinion is that we should do it like last year:
C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, Corner IF, Middle IF, Utility(any hitter), and 5 Outfielders on offense.
9 Pitchers per team, no restrictions on starter/reliever.
5 bench players.
For hitting: HR, RBI, Runs, SB, OPS.
For pitching: Quality Starts, K, ERA, Save or Hold, K/BB.
Just my opinion.

I'm joining now. If all the spots are spoken for and I'm taking someone's place, just boot me out. No hard feelings.

I did this:

Batter Categories: Runs (R), Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Stolen Bases (SB), On-base + Slugging Percentage (OPS)

Pitchers Categories: Strikeouts (K), Earned Run Average (ERA), (Walks + Hits)/ Innings Pitched (WHIP), Quality Starts (QS), Saves + Holds (SV+H)

I like WHIP over K/BB.

I kind of like the default for this:

Roster Positions: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, Util, Util, SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P, P, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, DL, DL

Anyone?

I'm in, and also agree with using those stats. They worked well last year besides the fact that I got my ass completely destroyed.

We need two more teams to make this an effective league. Should we reach out to non-PRF?
