I've listened to a good chunk of this record and I like it. I had forgotten the origin story of this band.

Ah yes. A few blogs are, sloppily, saying this band features members of STNNNG. Sorry 'bout that!

Oh ha I hadn't seen that but obv no worries, I just didn't realize that was how you and Nick hooked up. I assume everyone in Chicago already knows each other.

If this record doesn't end up in my top 10 for the year I will be shocked.

That would be crazy… Nuts !!!

Was 100% sold when I saw you guys at Borelli's and will be ordering this album as soon as I get home tonight.

It's not too many guitar players that can rock something as "weird" as a bit commander and make it work throughout the material. I also hope you can inspire more guitar players to play through 1x12 cabs.

Yeah, I mean, I was just starting to think…you guys are playing WAY too many shows!

*for those not in chicago, they've played 3 shows in their, what, 2 year existence?

2 good shows a year feels about right.

On that note, here's a presentable clip from the BBQ last weekend. It's Matt E and Co's recording with some extra plug-in compression/EQ.

Phenomenal set at the BBQ. I have a record player that I never use (bad new FM, I know) and will probably grab the vinyl and give it a spin. Contemplating the vinyl is the only reason I didn't grab the digital album the Monday after the shindig.

Cheers!

It is great. There's something classic rock about it, some Faiz Zeppelin influence mixed in here.
Prime numbers and tonal clusters with Radiant Republic.

Bass in the Heavy Bombers We're on the PRF Singles Comp Q1.

Sax with Begin By Gathering Supplies.

Terrible News.

You can now order the Lardo @ PRF Distro along with other records from more well known bands. Thanks Jon Solomon!

Also, check out a brief youtube clip taken by Jason from Goddard and our Soundcloud page with some recent live recordings.

.....

Finally, we'll be winding down activity as I'm about to move out of state. Maybe we'll do a show or two down the line but even that's hard to predict. We'll be spending our last few months together documenting some new songs and playing in the basement, which is what we like doing best.

I'm sorry to hear that.

Lardo was really incredible last Thursday at Emporium. I feel lucky to have caught that set.

A good time to bump I suppose, our 2-Chicago-shows-per-year are coming up:

-June 23 @ LiveWire (BBQ Kickoff w/ Nonagon, Hungry Man, & Ifihadahifi. Also, Unintimidated: Wisconsin Musicians Against Scott Walker screening) early-ish show: 8pm

-July 23 @ SubT downstairs w/ Pile, Hung Toys (ex Geronimo), +1

....

And then tracking a new record in August in some brick building. See ya!
