Stupidity?

To me, the approach you went with is what makes this whole thing fun. Great work all around so far.

Not my idea. Not even close.

Actually, either idea. That said, the second one would take some doing.

I have a feeling we might have the same idea*. The one I considered would be 'clever', then I realized how complicated it was and said forget it..

Is it a mashup of Tiger and Eye of the Tiger? Because that's the idea I had, that I won't be doing.

Definitely.

It picked up the gauntlet Paraquat threw down, and smacked him squarely on the tush with it.

My "Bonehead" idea is not, but that is a good idea. The "Bonehead" idea is pretty bonehead.

Without jut giving it away, my complicated idea is based on taking an ABBA tune that is based around a pretty classic "Old Time Rock N' Roll" form, and using a different classic "Old Time Rock N' Roll" form while keeping the structure about the same.

Edit: It's not one of the first Abba tunes you'd think of.

The last page is full of good ideas but nothing like what I was thinking. I knocked out something much more simple, though I referenced the original idea in the lyrics.

Full disclosure: I've heard maybe 3 ABBA songs and wasn't exactly thrilled to cover them, so..

2 songs already abandoned. Think I have accidentally stumbled upon another one that looks as if it will work out.

Also, I think my new favorite bassist is Rutger Gunnarsson.

no kidding - the melodies are pretty simple, but i'm really surprised at how much subtle stuff is going on in the headphones. ton of layering and blending, and i'm having a tough time parsing synth vs guitar vs vocal.
