Dennis Miller has been trash for longer than he wasn't trash but I laughed when he called Kim Jong-Il "the Buddy Holly of the Pan-Pacific Rim"

On Twitter the other day, Matt Oswalt (Patton's brother) said "Milo Yiannopolous is what happens when you sprinkle glitter on Alex Jones."

Not sure Milo Y is really a politician, but I LOLd.

If we're broadening the category to pundits, Will Menaker calling Ben Shapiro an 'Elfin nimrod' still makes me laugh. Not so funny on the page, but articulate spontaneity beats a million effortful zingers.

Edit:

Churchill's crack that Clement Atlee was a sheep in sheep's clothing is pretty funny, even if (like me) you are partial to Atlee.

Jimmy Breslin on Rudy Giuliani: "He is a small man in search of a balcony."

Charles Pierce always referred to "obvious anagram Reince Priebus," which is pretty lovely.

Yeah, pundits are fair game I think.

For the longest time, my brain would parse the words "Reince Priebus" as "Prince Rhombus".
