A pro put this one together for me, and it sounds fantastic. The neck and bridge pickups are traditional ceramic magnet p90s- the middle pickup is an alnico bar, so essentially voiced more like a Jazzmaster. All that said, the budget is running low for some necessary amp maintenance.

Asking $700 on Reverb but would make a deal for a Forum member

Nice Tele! I am a big fan of the ‘59 Roundback neck. Looks like a great deal with all those nice pets. Wish I could swing it!

Is it an Iron RAT? Is it an old Rat pedal clone?

It has it's origin in the Rat circuit, but it doesn't sound like my '80s Rats. Thicker sounding with more bottom. Way more volume. Goes slightly in a more fuzz direction. More useful range of the Tone knob. I'm guessing the 3 clipping modes are silicon to the right, no diodes in the middle, and LEDs to the left.

You snatched that RD artist right before I did. $1340. That was a steal.

If it makes anyone feel better, I bought a 78-ish RD Custom, in natural, w/ OHSC for $325 (no tax) from a Bozeman pawn shop in 1999.

And a few years later did well on reselling it...but not 1300 well.

I'm only seeing the Dan Armstrong now. Did those other 5 guitars sell within the last hour or two!?

I think sometimes Steve V lists multiples in order to sell one, whichever moves. No idea about this time, but I can't find his Facebook Reverb announcement anymore. Which means he pulled it...

Maestro Brassmaster Clone from a GGG kit. I didn't build it, so it's actually good! Sounds great, I ended up loving the sound enough to get the Malekko clone that's in a smaller box. $70 shipped.

Those guitars sold super fast, three of them to one guy. The other two I was back and forth on even selling at all.

Sometimes I hate how easy it is to message on Reverb. When I start getting a million questions or the inevitable "I saw when you bought this it was only $430 why are you trying to sell it for $600" shit, I pull it and re-list it.

Anyways, I'm selling this way cheap because I got it for a song.

Fully functional, very great condition 1979 Music Man Sabre II. No case or bag, but plays like a dream and I'll pack it up real nice.

$700 shipped in the US.

Purging a few things I'm not really using.

Late 70s-Early 80s Ludwig kit - SOLD

Image

This is one I rewrapped a few years ago. Hardly played since then. Floor-tom is 3-ply with no re-rings. I was recently informed that Ludwig was experimenting with shells like this in the early 80s, so I think it's original to the kit, or at least from the same time period. Either way, that floor tom sounds awesome. Kick and rack tom are 6-ply. Badges are reproductions with no serial number stamps, as the originals were trashed. I know the serial numbers for each drum though.

$500 for the three shells. This is way less than I have into it, but it's a rewrap, so I know I can't get original-condition prices. Cymbals/stands/snare not included.

I'd rather not ship these, though I'd be willing to drive a few hours to meet somewhere.

Traynor YBA-1A mk II, circa 1968 - $500

I resurrected this thing a couple of years ago. Fully recapped, new fan, new output tubes, new medical-grade power cable, new ceramic power-tube sockets. A few mods (push-pull channel jumping and bright-cap defeat, 1M volume pots, etc. Details are in that thread). Preamp tubes are vintage Raytheons, I believe. Honestly, this thing probably has less than 10 hours on it since I rebuilt it. A few practices and one or two shows. I haven't used it in over a year. Tolex is in great shape for being nearly 50 years old.

This thing weighs a ton and will probably cost $80+ to ship and insure. Again, I'd be willing to drive a few hours to meet if you want to do the deal in-person.

In much less exciting gear news, does anyone need a Focusrite Scarlett Solo? This one is barely 2 years old, looks new, and has never given me trouble. I even have the original box with software/registration code. I'm too lazy to take a picture of it, it's a red box..

$55 shipped in the US?

I've got a few 7" reels of NOS 1/4" tape I need to unload.

1 reel Quantegy 499
Image

4 reels Ampex 499
Image

Some still have the plastic wrap on the outside of the box. All still have the plastic bag around the reel itself. All are unused. No idea how old they are. I've had them on my shelf for at least 7 years.

I've got other used reels from this same batch and they work fine. No sticky shed. Just checked a few last night.

$20 shipped each, or I'll do a package deal of $80 shipped for all five.

EDIT: SOLD!

That is such bullshit, it's effectively saying "I see you found some money, so you should give it to me."
