Classic Vibe. These are just amazing guitars. I upgraded mine with a Broadcaster bridge pickup and new pots and all that, but it was genuinely great stock. Insane bang for the buck.

I've said it before, but I'm sayin' it again...a few years ago I picked up a Classic Vibe Duo Sonic for a little less than $200, the desert sand or butterscotch or whatever, and it is a really nice guitar. Even just stock, as is. Stays in tune, very light, neck feels great. No weird issues to speak of. Might be the only guitar I own that I can say that about.

agreed- I just picked up a 'bullet mustang' for $150 a couple months back and it is honestly great. Lightweight, comfortable, sounds great. I did need to do some fussy setup work on it, seating a couple frets, slotting the nut properly, adjusting intonation...but now it plays better than my gibson.

I will be swapping pickups-and would like a different bridge...but those are the sorts of things I can't help but do to every guitar I get my hands on.

Oh FFS. I was actually going to text you for advice about my recent desire for a Telecaster but also for a P90-loaded guitar. I guess I should stay in better touch or read the forum more.

Good to know! That kinda sounds like what I'm after.

This will also free me up to eventually build a single P90 double cut LPJ!

I have too much great stuff I don't use. I should probably release it. Starting with this one...

Peavey VTM60 - this is the 60-watt version of Kim Thayil's Badmotorfinger amp. As used by Kowloon Walled City at some point as well. It is seriously fucking loud if you want it to be. Kind of like a hot-rodded JCM800 on a budget. Lots of tweakability with the 8 dip switches (underneath the "Custom Response" plate). Tons of metal gain on the high input, and decent clean platform on the low input. This one is in as good of shape as they come. I think the only blemish is a screw crack on the plastic top vent.

I bought this last year for $500 and had to drive to Waukegan to get it. This amp is a monster. I like it but I'm just not using it. No hurry to sell.

$480, but I'm not shipping it. I could maybe cart it to Thundersnow for pickup though.

I'm selling a loaded peavey 1x15 bass cab and a loaded marshall 4x12 cab locally. both are in great shape, sound good etc... but I live on an Island and there is no one here interested in either right now. I don't want to ship them but will be driving to Boston tomorrow (Thursday) and will be there until Saturday afternoon. I can bring one or both up and we can work out a killer deal if anyone is interested.

With the MX-5050 threads that just popped up, it seems like as good a time as any to mention that I still have an MX-5050 1/2” 8-track that I’m open to moving.

What kind of shape is it in and how much are you asking?

I have a few old 1/2" 8 track projects that I need to mix and I keep thinking I'll just find someone to do a transfer for me but I don't seem to be doing that. Might be easier to just get a machine.

Trying to get a jump on Spring cleaning. Prices are OBO and include shipping in the US. Everything works.

Image

Akai Head Rush II BLACK METAL EDITION - SOLD
Balls "Klone", which is actually closer to a Banzai Cold Fusion OD - $100
Balls Dual True Bypass Looper - $50
Boss FS-5L - $20
Medeli M Ambience Stereo Reverb/Delay. Kind of cool Chinese pedal, I know it's been rebranded and sold under different names. Sounds quite good, stores 4 presets. - $30
Xact Tone Solutions XTS Custom Bass OD Prototype (???) My friend's partner is related to one of the Xact guys, and they custom made her brother a bass overdrive. Or something like that. I don't know. Somehow, it ended up in my possession. Sounds pretty good, but I don't need it, and he doesn't want it back. - $100

Just kicking the tires here, but I'm thinking about selling my Hagstrom Viking Baritone w/ohsc. It's black burst and I've upgraded the pickups to EGC P-90s, upgraded all pots, jack, wiring, switches, and knobs. Nut, tuners, and bridge are original because they actually seem legit, and I can always include all the removed original hardware as well. It's fucking sweet, I just don't play or write on it as much as I thought I would, and I recently lost my job, so somethings gotta give.
If you look online these are $600-700 without the case, which was over $100. The pickups were $400, the upgrades and professional setup probably cost $125 total.
I can post or PM pics if anyones interested?
