UGH.

They're both pretty annoying, but I'll give Jim Carrey the upper hand for Dumb and Dumber, The Cable Guy and his early work on In Living Color.

Jim Carrey if for "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". He's nearly as annoying as Robin Williams when he's on schtick but not nearly as annoying as Stiller. Whenever I watch that guy I'm painfully aware that he's gotten where he is because of his pedigree (and anyone with folks as funny as his should be a fucking riot).

Waffle factor: Stiller's gig on "Arrested Development"

I'll give Stiller that much but I still consider him just barely tolerable.

Forgot all about Eternal Sunshine...

Yeah the choice is clear, though Carrey can also be as annoying as a chafed wiener at times.

Ben Stiller, on the strength of The Ben Stiller Show alone.
Why do you make it so scary to post here.

I liked The Mask when I was a young kid.

I've never liked Ben Stiller except for a bit in Dodgeball, and you were supposed to hate him there.

I guess I'll go with Carrey.

In the someday, what's that sound.

The Cable Guy is an underrated movie. Stiller directed it, with Carey in the lead role.

I'd take Carey any day over Stiller. Carey has done a lot of crap, but he's had a few good to great performances in The Truman Show, Eternal. . ., and The Cable Guy.

Stiller. . . he was aight in The Royal Tennenbaums.

I don't get it - are we meant to vote for the most bearable or the most insufferable?

I'll give it to Carrey. Some of his stuff (see: Ace Ventura) is genuinely funny in a silly way. Stiller's stuff is kind of funny, but in an awkward "The Office" kind of way. I find that style comes with a sense of discomfort.

Stiller.

Carrey appears "in character" too often for my liking, and even portraying Andy Kaufman isn't enough to win me over.

Stiller is a really clever guy I think. Some of his ideas are mistakes though. The Ben Stiller Show was fucking great most of the time, and he's written for a lot of good shit. His acting can be crappy, so I like the stuff that's okay for him to be crappy in, like The Pick Of Destiny, Zoolander, BSS etc. His impressions of people and character types are always funny. Jim Carrey is solely a frontman (unless he did some writing on In Living Color) and is more hyped up like Robin Williams. Cable Guy is great, Eternal Sunshine was okay but too mopey, Ace Ventura and The Mask were perfect for what they were, MM&Irene had good parts.

Meet The Fockers fucking blew, and was the first time Ben Stiller pissed me off. Bruce Almighty was retarded, except for Steve Carell of course.

Stiller. I think I'm going with Stiller. If he would return to his comedy club roots and do something low-budget, like a cable-access show with Odenkirk, Cross, and Jack Black, well then my dick would fall off from whacking it.

Stiller was good in an underrated movie called Zero Effect which nobody but I saw.

Hey, you can't tally things up and then say "but I'm not going to count these two!" Like "Bush's policies are, on a whole, worse than Hitler's. The Holocaust excluded."

You fucking bitch.

Ben Stiller's short film for SNL where he picks up one of the Eagles is really funny. "The H is O". And the Ben Stiller show was indeed great, especially in that it brought Bob Odenkirk and David Cross together. Some of Stiller's movies are funny, some are total shit.

Carrey I suppose can be funny. He's almost more akin to Robin Williams or something. I don't know if he writes much stuff.

Advantage: Stiller
