Last night on SNL was the first time I've ever heard a complete Bon Iver song. Atrocious crap.

I don't like his music but I really don't like all the attention the media gives him. The over saturation of his face everywhere is what really bothers me.

I just recently realized FM DJs aren't saying "Boney Bear," which is what I've been thinking this crap is.

I do not like it in a boat, I would not listen with a goat.

Judging from the two songs I've heard - Skinny Love (horrible title) and Re: Stacks - this is major crap. I can't stand his voice, the music is offensively unexciting and the lyrics so awful you'd think it's some sort of joke. The fact that they're so popular just blows my mind. I mean there's bad music, and then there's stuff like this that's just so plain and dull it makes me want to cry.

SNL was my first exposure to Bon Iver (other than hearing the name bandied about, obviously). The first song was okay, not my bag, but perfectly fine. The second song, though, was terrible in a Bruce Hornsby & The Range sort of way.

Adult contemporary music for the younger crowd that fancies themselves as too hip for adult contemporary.

Which is to say, fucking crap.

I feel kind of shitty for this, but the mere sight of Bon Iver pisses me off. Comb your fucking hair with your fingers for fuck's sake.

Putrid.

Someone mentioned Coldplay, and that cover had in common with Coldplay the confluence of complete competency and being terrible.

I like that song when Bonnie Raitt does it. She's not a precious person.

Heard some other stuff.

Poooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Not even crap or shit. Not even poop. Is so bad, is worth only an initial plosive and an exhale. The effort to make the last 'puh' is not worth it.

Was flipping thru the channels last weekend and came across this sad bullshit on Saturday Night Live.

People like this music? Really? They're honestly not just being funny or trying to get that hot chick in the art department to have a drink w/them?

Crap w/a lazy 8.

Admittedly, if I hadn't seen that SNL episode, I'd still be pronouncing it in my head like:

Bon (as in "Bon Scott") Iver (rhymes with "driver")
My mind, it's a terrible diskette.
