I've been interested in these two (and Nick Barr's other stuff) for a while now. But I don't own any yet. What yall think?

I love them. I can only listen to any of their records about once every six months, and then only for mebbe twenty minutes without risking a seizure, but I love them.

They're really great live, and by "great" I mean a big mess of mind-numbing, hilariously fucked up, shreddy fast nonsense.

NOT CRAP.

Mick Barr and Orthrelm/Crom-Tech: that is some advanced music. It approaches a Cecil Taylor level of insane speed and density, except the Barr stuff is not at all improvised!

I can't quite "hang." It wears me out. But Mick Barr is undoubtedly a genius.

It was strange to watch Mick Barr play nondescript bass with the indie rock band Quix*o*tic a few months after seeing Orthrelm play.

Anytime you have to do research on the validity of the technical feasibility of a band's work, it's an auspicious sign.

Orthrelm is loved by me, absolutely despised by my roommates.
But I digress. Please continue with the squirrel circuit semantic debate.

If I remember correctly, I saw these guys with Dead Meadow as his rhythm section when Dead Meadow included the kid they have on tour with them now and not the people who went on to make the band well known.
Better yet, eat the placenta!!!

Bradley R. Weissenberger: Please note that, in my initial post on this subject, I attempted to shed light on Signore Garble's misspellings of both "Orthrelm" and "Mick" without making a big deal of it or anything.

Please also note that, in Signore Garble's subsequent post, he appears not to have taken my well-meaning lesson to heart.

Counselor Bradley R. Weissenberger, please advise.

sorry, I didn't even notice.
somehow I was under the impression of the "realm"
and the "nick."

but thank you.

orthrelm: my roomates now hate them also. I like it, but wish that it was all strung together as one song.

maybe that's physically impossible...
