Great! I think the two of them compliment each other superbly.

They played Superwolf in its entirety for the first time ever at Cropped Out in September; I bet the new stuff grew out of that. It was spectacular.

I saw him about 2 months ago at the Cedar in Minneapolis, and bought both the new one on vinyl and Superwolf on cassette; I have to admit, they're both pretty great.

Any thoughts on his new LP, Singer's Grave: A Sea of Tongues? It's basically a remake of his last Drag City LP, Wolfroy Goes to Town (2011). It's a little gussied-up with some nice session players/guest spots (though not nearly to Greatest Palace Music levels). I might like it better than Wolfroy, and love a lot of the songs, but I wonder what the motivation was in doing it.

It comes with a bonus 8-song 12" 45rpm if you're lucky, comprising his iTunes cover-song singles from the past year or so (with two extras). Fun, super diverse covers of Grease, Ne-Yo, Tim McGraw, Drake, etc. Wait, "etc" makes no sense there.

Going to his Halloween show at Thalia Hall, with a great shadow puppet troupe opening.

edit: OK, his last Drag City LP was the Everly Brothers thing, but I don't count that because I didn't like it.
