I enjoyed it, but I'm just happy to get to watch any movie these days.

I always fuck up the poll.

I agree with cunt, it's a silly film - lots of sci-fi is, including stone cold classics like Soylent Green. I enjoyed it.

Agreed with these boys.

And speaking about that: does anyone remember the sound when the flying bike crashed towards the end of the film? Like a high pitched 'something's reducing rev's or running out of electricity' sound? I'm pretty sure I heard in in other films, it could be new Wilhelm's Scream.

Also used in Robocop when the awesome two legged robot who couldn't walk the stairs is introduced and 'accidentally' kills a guy, just as it's eventually shutting down.

hey, for a major commercial release, i'm not complaining. might even watch it a second time with my girlfriend.

JGL's makeup really was bad, though.

But the scenes on the hover bike... oh god, did they look baaaaaaaaaad.

Yes, it was bad. It also seemed to be totally out of place in this film as everything else (minus the kid) seemed like fairly realistic and a bit shitty (which again, seems realistic) version of the future, and then, out of the blue, a totally needless appearance of a hover bike.

Exactly what I thought, "it's not sci-fi enough to be labelled as sci-fi, we need to sci-fi it up". Or, to give the director benefit of the doubt, it could have been a tribute to, don't know, lots of things I guess.
