Heaven is my friend Matt's band. What an excellent dude. I hope people showed them some love because it's about time he put something together. He's been an anchor in bands like Ambulance Ltd, after they fell apart, Dean & Britta, and Adam Franklin. Breathed new life into all of them with his positivity and great playing.

That's the one. I saw it on the setlist and just assumed it was a new song until they started playing it.

They also played "Never Lose that Feeling" and it was all kinds of amazing.

How was the drummer? I watched their two songs on Fallon and was really disappointed. http://www.hulu.com/watch/344127/late-n ... stang-ford

The drummer was fine. It was the same guy who did the Taste of Randolph show a few months back - apparently, Graham couldn't get visa stuff worked out so the drummer is the guy who plays with Adam in Bolts of Melody. He did kind of blow the beat for "Pile Up," but other than that, just fine.

The drummer they've been using plays in Adam's band "Bolts of Melody". He doesn't fit well in the band, but he seems to have listened to more Swervedriver stuff or something because he's trying his ass off to play like the other two drummers that have been in / are in the band. He was pretty good last night. I didn't like him at all when they played that street fest last summer. That's my least-favorite Swervedriver show ever (partially because of him and partially due to the fact that the highs and mids in the left speaker stack kept cutting out every 5 minutes)

Blows my mind that John George Peppers doesn't like this band. He should be their biggest fan.

Jonah has obviously never heard enough of their stuff based on his comment from a few years ago:

Marsupialized wrote:They do suck, just a boring bullshit rock band with no hooks and nothing to set them apart like ten million others

Really?

John George Peppers should be all over "Last Day on Earth".

I know JJP doesn't like rock music, so something like this would probably scare him off:

Swervedriver shit all over 95% of all current bands, even though their name is "Swervedriver" and they have a song called "Rave Down".
I played a drum in Tijuana Hercules.

That was my first Swervedriver show so I was very "HOLY SHIT IT'S SWERVEDRIVER AND MOTHERFUCKING SHIT!" The Boston show was much much better in comparison.

jeez I haven't hear that name in like forevah.
liked them but still the time lapse between when I listened to them and just hearing the name now...

I'm old-bandilating - the act of hyperventilating upon hearing an old band is touring again and looking back at your life.

How have they still not announced the Chicago venue?

Also, glad to hear that there's a new album!

New jams sound great! Didn't care for the last couple records but it sounds like they found the good stuff again.

They're playing at Thalia Hall in March, I believe, as part of some festival.
