Each season has gotten weaker and weaker. It takes a backseat to most of the other shows I watch and is usually last on the list to watch every week on Hulu.

When the fuck did this show turn into Friends?

I'm only a casual viewer, but it seems like the only thing I hear people talk about is the romantic subplot.

Actually I think the wedding was early in the series to tie up the Pam/Jim romance. Although they are having a baby but that's not an unrealistic thing for people to do.

I actually don't care about characters being over the top, and I don't compare it to the original when I'm watching it; the only thing that bugs me sometimes is the direction. Sometimes they've tapped into peoples phones, sometimes they haven't. Sometimes the camera rushes to see something, sometimes there are three cameras in one room. If there was consistancy with the original conceit, I'd forgive just about everything else.

That and all the best writers on the show went to Parks and Recreation.

i think the problem is that the show's writers, by now, have pretty much assumed that the characters are so well-established and engrained in the minds of the viewers, that they can descend into all sorts of self-parody. "oh, look how far michael took it this time! this is a lacking of self-awareness on a whole different order!"

used to be one of my favorite shows though. used to be really great.
I composed and produced the album California is Cold by Shahmen. Check out the video we just put out for the song Poison.

I still get a kick out of this show. The only part that I didn't like about the wedding episode was the dance sequence, because I also didn't see that stupid youtube clip they were parodying. There were still plenty of other hilarious moments. In addition to what was already mentioned, I kept cracking up when Andy Bernard kept mentioning his torn scrotum.

The whole Pam and Jim romance subplot is kinda lame, but the rest of the show makes up for it. I still crack up fairly often while watching it.

Good show - I don't really see the quality declining.

Still get a few laughs every time I watch it.

I've been watching reruns of this lately. Has anyone else noticed any references to a lawyer named Steven P. Albini, or something like that? I've heard mention of him twice on the show.

The first two seasons were pretty funny. I think they ran out of feasible but funny situations that could occur in an office after that. You could probably make one really good season out of seasons three and four the way some people do with the White Album. It's been embarrassing since then.

Again, it is flummoxing how bad this show is, considering the fact that highly talented people are in it.

Saw it again. It was James P. Albini.
I still like this show, but there is a waffle factor.

In lieu of the UK Office being fantastically superior and for the Jim and Pam characters being soooooooooo goddamn lame.....I am going to have to say "crap".

(I do admit that the show has a lot of truly great side players.)

I have to say, I sat and watched all the episodes so far for the newest (last) season, and I laughed my ass off. Way funnier than 99% of what's out there being passed of as comedy. There's no reason at all to complain or shit talk this show.

Crap

Watched every season until Micheal left. Slightly amusing the first time around but have no desire to ever watch this show again.

I think Parks and Recreation, at its peak, was much funnier than any point in the Office. Since Steve Carell left they've relied on an overload of new characters (none of which have done anything for the show) and lazy cutesy humor. Jim and Pam have transformed into obnoxious, petulant whores. I still watch every episode, no idea why.

Creed Bratton is sorely underutilized. I would watch a Creed Bratton spinoff.

So would I. His real life is almost as strange as the life of "Creed Bratton."
