That's exactly what I said. I'm sure it's more a case that they're being a little selective about who puts it out rather than them being unable to find anybody interested at all. I hope.

Pretty sure TNY record is still being finished.

I don't think getting it released will be an issue.

Heard some basic tracks, they were up to the usual std of excellence but just the bones at that time.

I haven't heard the Overseas record, but I bet it's good. Hard to imagine it not being good.

Hey all. Sorry, I haven't checked the board in a long time. I had such a nice time at the BBQ!

tallchris wrote:Might be worth PM-ing Mathew Barnhart since he does their live sound and did all the overdubs and mixing on the last two records.

The "Disease" video gives a good gear rundown:

Just FYI, most of the gear in this video is crap from my studio, where the video was shot. Doesn't necessarily correlate to what they use in normally.

Matt plays a stock Hot Rod Deluxe. Bubba plays a stock Blues (maybe it's a Hot Rod?) DeVille. Brokaw plays whatever tubs are lying around. Mike has a super-sweet 70's (I think) P-bass.

Shit, we haven't done a show since May of 2009, my memory is a little foggy.

I love it, some of my favorite tunes those bros have ever done. The 4 of them have put as much time, care, and thought into the thing as you would expect.

I don't think it's going to shock anyone who's familiar with the 4 dudes in the band, but I like how it puts the K-bros' thing into a new context.

If you live in NYC, be aware that Overseas are playing two shows here this week:

MONDAY 8/19 @ Mercury Lounge (late show, doors at 9PM)
TUESDAY 8/20 @ Knitting Factory Brooklyn

Any word on if their next album will come out any time soon? Bizarre that it apparently was finished or mostly finished almost 2 1/2 years ago, and if it is because of difficulty finding a label/distributor, then that is sad commentary on the state of things today.

Amazing band.

Have been playing all three records a lot lately, my baby son seems to like them more than Pissed Jeans.

Been on a Bedhead/New Year binge lately, and wondering the same thing. I can't think of too many bands that deliver the goods each time.

Records not finished.

According to Instagram they did some more overdubbing and stuff over the holidays.
