ok i could've sworn this was already a poll, but i searched a few times and could not find it.

those riffs! those solos! and those drums! and phil anselmo screaming his head off! and talking excessive shit to the audience between songs!

NC. but i do prefer phil's other band, down. they are fuckin great... especially the drums and riffs. yknow, THOSE drums and riffs.
I composed and produced the album California is Cold by Shahmen. Check out the video we just put out for the song Poison.

Certain non-musical aspects of this band are absolutely amazing. For reference, please consult their Pantera III tour video. Because of this video and other stories I'd heard about the band, I felt genuine sadness when Dimebag was killed.

I have to vote not crap, despite being otherwise unfamiliar with their music.

Ahh...the Era of Pants. I remember it well.

Can't decide if I preferred the Leopard Print or Cornmaze Paisley.

I saw them play a whole bunch of times when I was in high school and they were just starting to tour, all the way through to when they started playing at like, the Aragon. At that point I'm off. Was always a lot of crazy stage diving, slam dancing fun.
I am in a Pantera video, by the way.

I'll vote not crap for all the fun shows. Their records are not very good.

I'm into all their studio albums between Cowboys... and The Great Southern... (I'm embarassed to post the whole name). They supposedly ripped off their style from Exhorder, and whatnot, I still love most of the stuff on those records.

i'd say sepultura, in turn, ripped that style from pantera... and made it better. but still, pantera is a fine band and sepultura is a high standard of comparison.

is this the same as "pantera home video 3"?

I've heard a couple of their songs in passing but have never been fully aware of who it was. The one song of their's that I do remember, "This Love," reminded me a lot of Helmet at the time. Anyway, it was a shame the guitar player died the way he did.

Not Crap for that one song that sounded like Helmet.

Is that Marc Bolan on the far right?

Weird.
