New Portal video. Holy fuck.

I'm half way through the new, brilliant The Necks album at the moment, but I'm stoked as hell to watch this video afterwards.

Should be a nice change of pace.

I'm freaking out here. That is fucking terrifying, and with a (I guess) seeemingly low budget. Kind of reminds me the feeling of dread that Al Columbia or Thomas Ligotti create. I want them to make a Lovecraft adaptation right now.

No shit... *shudders*

Warms my heart to see so much love for a Brisbane band.

From an Amazon review of the latest album:

you ever had that dream where you are a prisoner on a MASSIVE carcass-encrusted locomotive powered by a swarm o' angry super-hornets, screaming through the darkest part o' night on the way to hell ? yeah, me neither

but that's what this album sounds like

I dont know if its the material folds or what but it looks like you can almost see his creepy ass Shoggoth face in the black and white shots.

The clock was rad yeah, but every album has its own Curator of Horrors..

Neat idea, but none of their stuff has grabbed me.

I can't help but feel this is metal for people who don't really like metal. Going to vote Crap until I hear something that changes my mind.

I haven't dug in too hard, but I've enjoyed what I've heard so far.

I recognize those fingers though. They cost a few bucks at the candy store here.

Listening to the new album now while I work - only two tracks in and it is FAR better than Swarth, which was already great.

This is an incredible band.

"New" album? Its almost a year old hehe..

And yep... Its "confirmed", when they are done with the tour of Japan, they are doing nothing but locking themselves away to work on the new record.. A mate was trying to book them for a festival in the UK next month and this was the direct response from Horror Illogium..

Just got back from seeing them tonight in NYC.

One of the best shows I've ever seen. They so clearly execute on what they are trying to do. It's very unsettling.

About to see them next week, in Geneva.
I cannot wait.
And the maximum capacity of the venue is 90-100 people.

I saw them last night. Their main tour support Impetuous Ritual are a weird combination of Venom and early Slayer chic with a death/doom sound. I didn't think bands existed like that anymore.

I missed Chaos Echoes but some friends were raving about them. Terrific entertainment all round.
