If you speed up Valentine a little bit it goes from a song comparing love to pills to a song mostly just about pills.

I wonder if we could get Gary the Squirrel to do vocals on Gary's got a boner. Or maybe he could just play bass.

Ok, I think I'm done. I feel like this last song might be one of my best yet. Might have won if I hadn't submitted so many goddamned songs this month. Probably not.

Thanks Major! We had fun with this one!

I am listening through everything again now - there are some good submissions.

Thanks - Jeff (Room 302)

Votes...

- Righthanded/'Sorry Ma, Forgot We Were All Shook Down": This one was the fucking bomb. Got rewound and cranked multiple times. There might even have been a little air drumming.

- Burnt Witches/"Here Comes A Regular" Pretty sweet. Also some interesting guitar parts.

- Finger Genius/"Can't Hardly Stop": Great version of the tune in question. The panned guitar parts are a pretty interesting pair(you know, if listening for that is your sort of thing).

While I started of this month a little "They Don't Take Their Replacements Seriously Enough..." grinchy, there's a lot of great work.

Biggie honorable mention goes out to - The Eagles Of Reproductive Rights/"Little Mascara". That's probably my favorite Replacements tune, and it's a really great version of it. I just plain ran out of "Winning" slots.

Thank you for the compliment and the vote! This was both Stephanie's and my first time participating and we really enjoyed it. The Replacements are one of our favorite bands and we had talked about covering this for the last few years but never got around to it before, so this was a great opportunity/excuse to stop being lazy and actually do it. Also, just because I'm a geek about gear and thought it turned out pretty cool here: the main guitar throughout the track is an out of phase Strat into a Strymon Lex Leslie simulator (slow speed on verses, fast on choruses) into a Vox AC30, room miked only. The outro where it sounds like a violin is a Les Paul Junior with the tone knob on 0 through the fake fuzz pedal and Marshall amp in Garageband.

I REALLY liked "Swingin' Party" by Oms en serie, so that was my #1 vote.
