We use this Studer A820 for all 1” transfers (16-track and 8-track). We ordered a custom headstack from JRF Magnetics that has a new 8-track head in the “repro” position and a new 16-track head in the “sync” position. This machine was converted from 2” with the conversion kit from Audiohaus.
