Samamp VAC40

Has a duet of 6L6GC output tubes, generally similar to a Fender Bassman, but uses filamentary light bulbs in a current-limiting circuit to adjust the power of the output section and generate power tube distortion. Switchable from 40 down to a couple of watts with commensurate lowering of headroom/increase in power tube distortion. The lights flare in rhythm as you play, so you don’t need a lighting director. Preamp sections have pickup impedance (loading) compensation switches, and can be switched/blended using a custom pedal. Terrific, versatile amp.
