Custom 16-String

Sixteen .020 strings tuned to unison, normally all tuned to D, usable range from B to G but feel free to take a day and restring it if you need to. Neck is from an Epiphone 12-string acoustic with extra banjo tuners down the center, fitted to a junk strat copy body (I think Hondo). Custom bridge, extra holes in headstock and assembly by Geoff Benge. Odd, atmospheric and fun to play. This is a copy of an instrument made as a gift for the band Sonic Youth in 1989.
