That The Thing

An ugly and confusing guitar, it used to say “That’s the thing” but the “s” wore off. Warmouth tele neck, Mighty Mite hardware, Seymour Duncan quarter-pounder Strat pickups and an Alembic Stratoblaster switchable boosting preamp (battery under cover where the middle pickup isn’t). Toggles for each pickup, out-of-phase when both pickups used. Funny story about this guitar, owner steve albini traded an early original Mosrite the Ventures model guitar for it in 1981. That guitar would be worth a mint now. This one was worth about $300 then, probably almost that much now.
